Well hello there! I'm trying to think of the best introduction......................(silence/thinking)...........and there is none, so lets jump right into it shall we?
I'm Jocelyn, a city slicker. Originally from NY, now turned country girl after 6 years of living in North Carolina. Now to me, what I consider country is walking around barefoot to and from your car to your house and or outside your house, maybe even to a neighbors house......and I've grown to love it. A lot of you may call it far from country and just gross, but who can do that in those NY streets........come on somebody! So yeah, I love it here. It's a great place to start fresh.....raise a family........and decorate on a dime. As you will see here posted from time to time are random decorating projects (Decorating on a Dime) from yours truly. I live in a townhome with the bae who is ALSO in school for nursing. We have a son and daughter who thinks that I do homework for a living, so you know I cant wait to finish strong just for her. We are some church loving Christians, who loves to hear the true word of God.
It's by His grace alone that I'm in a position to apply to nursing school. And by position I don't mean, my husband allows me to stay home and only attend school and or my parents, (not hatting on those who can, please don't think that). I've come across lots of students who are blessed and say that "they're in a position to stay at home because of their spouses/parents".
It's the position that God placed me in that allowed me to still be able to work full-time, keep my home together, my family in one piece, have kids in the interim, make the grades that I did, take half days during the week from work to attend micro, be able to take A&P 1 & 2 online with a fetal pig, a sheeps brain, cats eye ball all stored in my half bathroom for a year, work in a hospital as a phlebotomist and be just infused with knowledge and motivation. All of this in 3 years allowed me to finally be able to submit my clinical application May 2016 for entrance into the Spring 2017 program at my local community college.
So this my friends, nurses, murses, moms, students is the reason why I will jot down every memory of this journey. I can see my future and it looks bright because of the God I serve. I know from the beginning of those pre-req classes it's so hard to see the end of the tunnel. It's so hard for us to believe in what we don't physically see. So lets walk together by faith and not by sight.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9
Come on Somebody!
